How is this different from an "LCD Separator" (like the TBK-988)?

They do two different jobs. This Heating Pad (TBK-568) is a soft silicone mat used to warm the entire device to make it safe to open the phone (separate the screen from the frame). An LCD Separator (TBK-988) is a hard metal plate with a vacuum used after the screen is out, to hold it flat so you can separate the broken glass from the LCD.

What exactly does the "Dust Display Lamp" (on the 568A) do?

It’s a specialized green LED light. When you shine it on a screen or a piece of glass, it makes microscopic dust, smudges, and imperfections instantly visible. Technicians use it to ensure a perfectly clean surface before applying a new screen or glass, preventing dust from being trapped inside the final repair.
