TBK 958Z-E UV Laser Machine: Operating Methods and FAQ

Table of Contents

1. Getting Started: Language Setup

The TBK 958Z-E operates on the "PanShi LaserMark" software. To change the language, follow these steps:

  1. In the top menu bar, click "System," then select "System Settings."

  2. A new window will open. In this window, select the fifth item on the list, also labeled "System Setting."

  3. Click the "Language" dropdown menu to select your desired language.

  4. Restart the software for the changes to take effect.

2. How to Remove a Phone's Back Cover, Screen, or Bracket

The software includes a quick-access menu for common phone repairs.

A. Using the Built-in Drawing Library

  1. From the main interface, navigate the menu by selecting: Mobile Phone -> [Brand] -> [Repair Type (Back Cover, Screen, etc.)] -> [Model].

  2. The software will automatically load the correct drawing and default parameters (e.g., speed 3000, power 98).

  3. Place the phone on the workspace and press the Focus button.

  4. Press F1 for a red light preview to check alignment.

  5. Press F2 to start the laser process.

Note: The manual advises that parameters for removing screens or brackets should be adjusted based on the specific situation, as the default is primarily for back covers.

3. How to Engrave Custom Designs

A. Engraving Text

  1. Click the "Text" (T) icon on the left toolbar.

  2. In the "Graphic attribute" box that appears, you can edit the text content, select fonts, and adjust sizing.

  3. Click the "Fill" (H) button to open the fill menu. Choose a fill type (e.g., back-and-forth) and click OK to make the text solid.

  4. Adjust the final power and speed in the "Pen parameter field" on the right.

  5. Use F1 to preview and F2 to mark.

B. Engraving Images

  1. Click the picture icon from the toolbar to open a file window.

  2. Select your image (JPG, PNG, BMP, etc.).

  3. In the "Graphic attribute" settings, you can adjust the DPI (Dots Per Inch). A higher DPI value will produce a more detailed and finer result.

  4. Ensure the mode is set to "dots" for photo-quality engraving.

  5. Use the "Reverse" option if you need to invert the black and white parts of your image.

4. Parameters and Expert Support

The UV laser of the 958Z-E excels at marking materials that fiber lasers can damage, such as certain plastics, woods, and coated glass. Finding the perfect parameters for these unique materials is key.

If you require assistance with settings for specific materials or are not achieving the desired result, we offer 24-hour one-on-one technical service.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the main difference between this UV laser and other fiber lasers? A: The TBK 958Z-E uses a 355nm UV laser, often called a "cold light" source. It creates a much smaller focal spot and a minimal heat-affected zone. This makes it ideal for marking heat-sensitive materials like plastic, leather, and glass without burning or melting them.

Q2: What should I do if the machine has no response after being powered on? A: First, check the external power source to ensure the sockets, switches, and power cord are properly connected and powered on. Then, check the main power switch on the machine to confirm it is on.

Q3: Why is the engraved pattern very light or has no trace at all? A: This could be due to several reasons:

  • Inaccurate focus: Please perform the focusing procedure again.

  • Speed is too fast: An overly fast engraving speed results in insufficient marking time. Reduce the speed parameter in the software.

  • Image quality: If the imported image is too light or its lines are too thin, it will directly impact the marking result.

  • Tilted placement: The engraved object must be placed flat. Any angle will result in an incorrect focal length.

Q4: What should I do if the software is running but the laser does not emit light? A: Check that your power supply voltage (110V or 220V) is normal and corresponds with the machine's required voltage. If the voltage is correct, the laser components or power supply may need to be replaced.

Q5: What should I do if the built-in computer fails to boot or the display is abnormal? A: First, check if the computer's power cord is loose. Confirm if the computer's indicator light is blue. If the problem persists, the display screen or the computer itself may need to be replaced.
